Interior designers still send a Pinterest board, then a Drive of PDFs, then a third pack when the joiner is new. Spec delivery in 2026 is one URL: a board they can judge, a price if they owe you, the schedule the site can open in month four.

How interior designers deliver spec packs is still, in too many studios, a mood board in chat and a Drive of every PDF. Each hop is a place a client stalls, or a supplier gets the full schedule as the first look. Spec delivery should be one door they already have open.

This is the year of jobs: a concept board, a finish schedule, a contractor pack, a snag set. Designers have the brand-kit cousin. This page is the room.

The palette is the unpaid view. Paint, fabric, and light wait in the pack.

Why spec packs still split

  • A full schedule in the first drop is already the order list.
  • The joiner asks in month four. The transfer is gone.
  • A shared drive shows every option next to the issued set.
  • The remaining fee is unpaid, and the supplier already has the SKUs.

How this looks on a year of rooms

Concept board

A treated board in the unpaid view. Not every supplier PDF. Password the door. If the concept fee is still due, put the price on that URL. Share design files and get paid.

Finish schedule

Paint, fabric, light: name the files for humans. A contents note. Replace a revised row in place. The URL does not change.

Contractor pack

The site will ask twice. Leave the link up on Pro or Business. Free shares last three days, which is not a fit-out clock. If trades should not see each other's pricing, use two folders.

Snag set

A dated pack after install. Photos and a short note. The client fetches the same URL. You are not rebuilding a smash because a pendant was wrong.

  1. Put this room in one folder

    Board, schedule, PDFs you mean to issue. Nothing from the last house.

  2. Decide the unpaid view

    Palette and scenes. Not the full FF&E sheet if money is due.

  3. Price it if they still owe you

    The designer payment link is the folder. When checkout completes, the same URL is the pack.

Spike takes 5% on Free, 1% on Pro, 0% on Business, from the payout. Stripe's card fee still applies. Sharing can stay free when the fee already cleared. A live fit-out belongs on Pro or Business. How designers deliver brand files is the 2D sister.

If they can see the palette, they should be able to take the schedule without joining your Pinterest.
