How to send files over 50MB in 2026 is not a bigger attachment. Fifty megabytes is where email has already given up, and where a free Discord upload has given up too. The file is ordinary: a bounce, a photo set, a short grade, a PDF with images. The apps around it are the limit.

Chat apps are not a free pass

WhatsApp can carry 50 MB as a document, up to the 2 GB document ceiling in their help centre. Send it without the paperclip

  1. Leave the 50 MB file out of the attach button

    The message can stay. The file cannot.

  2. Put it in one folder

    Name it. Add a short preview if they only need to confirm it is the right one.

  3. Copy the share URL

    Password it if the thread is a group. Free links follow the Free plan. A standing client door belongs on Pro or Business if 2 GB is not enough.

  4. Paste the URL where the attach failed

    Outlook, Discord, WhatsApp, or a text. One page.

When 50MB is also the product
