How creators sell exclusive drops to fans is still, in too many stories, a Drive link with no door, or a Gold tier for a ZIP that is a one-off. Each habit either leaks the night or makes a fan become a patron to fetch one pack. A creator drop should be a room you open, then close.

This is the year of jobs: a close-friends stills set, a live recording, a zine, a members' master. Creators already work this way when the folder is the rope. The model is sell exclusive digital content.

A key on a private URL. The drop unlocks for the ones who paid. The feed never had to see it.

Why drops still leak or stall

  • A Drive in the story is a public folder with extra steps.
  • A pledge tier is a costume for a one-off ZIP.
  • A public shop makes scarcity look fake.
  • They will ask again in a month. The story expired.

How this looks on a year of drops

Close-friends stills

Treat the unpaid view. Password the door. Do not put the passphrase in the same caption as the URL. After checkout they have the set. You can shut the door when the window ends.

Night-of live recording

A clip in the unpaid view. The master waits. Price the folder. People who were in the room already want it. You do not need an aisle.

Zine or PDF drop

Sample pages, not the issue. Sell PDFs is the catalogue cousin. This page is the night you only tell the list.

Members' master

If they already pledge on Patreon, you can still deliver the master on Spike. Post the sample on Patreon. Sell or share the pack on a passworded folder. Do not dump a named set into a public tier.

A membership is a pledge that stays. A drop is a folder with a price. Different shapes of money.
A story throw scatters the file. A drop gathers it back onto a shelf you can shut.

Spike takes 5% on Free, 1% on Pro, 0% on Business, from the payout. Stripe's card fee still applies. Free shares last three days, which is enough for a night drop if they know to grab it. Pro and Business can leave the door up for the people who paid. A digital download business is the habit around those links.

    Send the URL in the channel you already have. Send the passphrase separately.

  3. Price it if the drop is a sale

    The fan payment link is the folder. When checkout completes, the same URL is the download.

Fans lose the story. A friend asks a week later. Leave the link up for the people who paid. Shut it for everyone else when the window ends. You are not hoping a Drive in a highlight is still the velvet rope.

If they already care, the link can be the drop. The shop can wait.
