TransferNow vs Spike is a send-versus-library comparison, not a morality play. TransferNow earned users by making a large file leave your disk without a project. For a cut that has to arrive tonight, that is still a good tool. Spike starts from a different job: keep the folder, then let you send it, preview it, and optionally sell it.

The extras list matters when the URL also has to behave like a review gallery or a paid download. A transfer is honest about being a pipe. Spike is honest about being a library with a door. When the send is also the shop

If they owe you money, do not split the job into a transfer plus an invoice. Charge for a download link. Spike takes 5%, 1%, or 0% from the payout on Free, Pro, or Business. Stripe's card fee still applies. The unpaid view can stay blurred or marked.
