How to sell Lightroom presets, LUTs, and creative presets online

A preset is a promise about colour. In 2026 that promise lives in Lightroom, Capture One, DaVinci, Premiere, and a pile of mobile apps. The shop is not a marketplace aisle. It is a page that shows the look and hands over the files.

To sell Lightroom presets online in 2026 you are also, whether you like it or not, in the LUT business. Couples send vertical clips. Brands want the stills and the Reels to match. A digital preset shop that only ships XMP will spend the year answering "do you have this for DaVinci?"

The existing habit is to list photography presets on a marketplace and hope search does the rest. Fine for discovery. Useless when a filmmaker already watched your grade on YouTube and wants the .cube tonight. Show the result. Package the files. Take payment. Deliver the pack. Spike can be the door. Any priced download that does not leak the cube file will do.

See the grade, pay on the page, download the XMP, DNG, or cube files from the same URL.

What a 2026 preset product is

  • Lightroom Classic XMP or Profiles, named for the look, not for your internal version number.
  • Mobile DNG or the vendor's mobile format, only if you tested it on a phone.
  • Video LUTs as .cube, with colour space in the filename: Rec709, LogC, V-Log.
  • Capture One styles or camera profiles if that is your room.
  • A one-page install note and a license: personal, YouTube, or paid-client work.

If you only sell Lightroom and want the narrower pack list, the Lightroom-only note stays useful. This page is the shop that also sells LUTs online and treats stills and motion as one look.

Preview the result, not the file

Buyers decide with their eyes. A before-and-after JPEG for stills. A ten-second grade for video LUTs, shot on a camera they recognise. Do not preview a film LUT on a phone screenshot of a sunset you did not shoot. People can tell. A free sample preset is allowed. The full set is the product.

Say the body and the light. "Portraits, window light, Sony." "Talking-head, A7S, S-Log3." Photography presets that claim to work on everything will train refunds. Video LUTs that hide the log flavour will do the same.

Package so install support stays quiet

  1. Split tools into folders

Lightroom, Mobile, DaVinci, Premiere. A buyer should drag one folder into one app.

  2. Put compatibility in the unpaid view

Classic version, whether mobile is included, which log the LUT expects. That text saves more refunds than a long sales page.

  3. Price the look, deliver the pack

One checkout. The download is the ZIP they would have asked you to email. Leave the link on so they can reinstall after a new laptop.

Creator examples from this year

A wedding photographer sells a "ceremony film" duo: ten stills presets plus two Rec.709 LUTs so the highlight reel matches the album. A YouTuber sells a talking-head LUT with three intensities and a stills twin for thumbnails. A travel pair sells a mobile-only pack for the people who edit on a phone in the airport. A colourist sells a 2026 vertical-video set: 9:16 examples in the preview, cubes in the pack, no claim it will save a bad log exposure.

The preview is advertising. The cube and the XMP are the product. They can share a URL.

Version in place when Lightroom or DaVinci breaks an install path. Buyers who already paid should not hunt a new checkout. If you change the look itself, ship v2 as its own product and leave v1 up for the people who matched a whole year to it.
